Anderson Claims Second, Flitcraft Takes Third at PAC Championships

NEW CASTLE, Pa. – Claire Anderson (Jamestown, Pa./Jamestown) and Dominic Flitcraft (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) both recorded top three finishes at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships this afternoon.

Anderson, former 2023 PAC Champion, finished as the runner-up this season in second at the PAC Championships. The junior standout was bested by a Grove City runner by just over four seconds. Anderson finished with a time of 21:58.70 and 5:54 pace on the course. With her performance, she earned All-PAC First Team honors for the second-straight season.

Maria Gilles (North Ridgeville, Ohio/Lake Ridge Academy) finished just outside of the top ten in 11th with a time of 23:27.60. Gilles picked up her first career All-PAC Second team honor with her 11th place finish.

Chloe LoCastro (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) finished next up for the Presidents in 38th place with a time of 25:26.40. Genevieve Ruth (Brecksville, Ohio/Brecksville Broadview Heights) finished quickly behind her with a 41st-place finish with a time of 25:36.00. Rounding out the Presidents' top five runners was Grace Reid-Vensel (Washington, Pa./Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter) who placed 45th with a time of 25:49.70.

For the men, Flitcraft headed the Presidents' front with a third-place finish on the afternoon. The former PAC Newcomer of the year dropped just one spot compared to his freshman season finish as the runner-up. Flitcraft finished with a time of 25:54.60, earning his second-consecutive All-PAC First Team honor.

Following close behind were senior Brock Pennington (North East, Pa./North East) and Julian Paul (Pittsburgh, Pa./Montour) who finished fourth and fifth, respectively. Pennington paced his way to a 26:00.60 mark trailed by Paul who posted a time of 26:10.70 directly behind his teammates. Pennington replicated his 2023 performance with a fourth-place finish to earn All-PAC First Team rights. Paul logged his first collegiate All-PAC First Team honor with his top five finish this afternoon.

Finishing close together, Shaun Walker (Washington, Pa./Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter) and Daniel Deal (Butler, Pa./Knoch) placed back-to-back to cap off the Presidents' top five runners. Walker finished with a mark of 27:51.30 and 32nd finish, while Deal worked his way to a 33rd-place finish with a time of 27:53.80.
