TERRE HAUTE, Ind. –
Claire Anderson (Jamestown, Pa./Jamestown) of the Washington & Jefferson College women's cross country team collects the institutions' first women's cross country All-American since 2012 after morning action at the 2024 NCAA National Cross Country Championships.
Anderson finished Nationals in 23
rd place with a time of 21:33.4. The only other women's cross country runner from W&J to achieve All-America status was Kristen Galligan of the 2012 season.
Dominic Flitcraft (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) and
Brock Pennington (North East, Pa./North East) each logged respectable afternoons at the men's portion of NCAA Nationals. Flitcraft finished 131
st with a time of 25.22.9 while Pennington took 193
rd with a mark of 25.44.4.
This marks the first time in W&J's history the cross country teams have sent and raced a total three runners to NCAA Nationals.
