WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson men's lacrosse team fell 31-3 to the visiting Grove City Wolverines in Senior Day 2024 season finale.
It was all Grove City in the first quarter, quickly getting up 6-0. Despite a goal by senior
Zach Mey (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette), the Wolverines would continue to build their lead surmounting a commanding 16-1 deficit heading into the half.
W&J's final two goals would come in the third quarter as
Aiden Herman (West End, N.C./Pinecrest) and
Paul Shook(Camp Hill, Pa./Trinity) both found the back of the net.
Brothers
Nathan Petrarco (North Huntingdon, Pa. / Norwin) and
Braden Petrarco (North Huntingdon, Pa. / Norwin) would tally the teams two assists.
Henry Beardwood (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum) started and made 12 saves in the loss.
John Novoselich (Cornwall on Hudson, N.Y./James I. Oneill) made seven saves in his 23:03 of relief.

Ronin Keane (Medford, Mass./Arlington Catholic),
Carlo Basile (West Palm Beach, Fla./The Kings Academy), Herman, Petrarco, Beardwood, and Mey were joined by their families prior the game and recognized on Senior Day at Alexandre Stadium.
