Women’s Soccer Closes Out 2025 Season in 2-2 Draw with Westminster

WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson College women's soccer team (6-9-3, 3-5-3) played to a 2-2 draw against the visiting Westminster Titans (3-9-5, 3-5-3).
 
Both units played to a scoreless draw through the first 45 minutes of action. Each side matched the others in shots with eight each through the first frame. The Presidents held a 3-2 edge in saves while the Titans held a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks.
 
Out of the half, Westminster got on the board first with a goal in the 53rd minute. W&J responded in the same minute with their first goal of the game. Alexa Taylor (Aliquippa, Pa./OLSH) scored her fifth goal of the season off a pass from Katelyn Burley (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) to knot the score at one. The Titans broke the ice again in the 79th minute before the Presidents scored the game-tying equalizer in the 83rd minute. Kendall Obley (Buena Vista, Pa./McKeesport) scored on a bicycle kick off a pass from Selah Calacan (Waldorf, Md./North Point), 2-2.
 
Freshman Gianna Patterson (Fox Chapel, Pa./Fox Chapel) played all 90 minutes in goal with eight saves.
 
The Presidents conclude the 2025 campaign with a 6-9-3 overall record and a 3-5-3 Presidents' Athletic Conference record. Freshman Rylin Bugosh (Mount Pleasant, Pa./Mount Pleasant) finished as the team's leading scorer with seven goals and four assists for a total of 18 points.
 
Maura Heberle (Georgetown, Pa./South Side Beaver) posted her best season as a President with six goals and two assists. Taylor bookended her sophomore season with goals on each end to finish with five on the year from the midfield. Patterson and Molly Schoch (Burgettstown, Pa./Burgettstown) each finished with more than 50 saves on the year.
