Women’s Tennis Downed by Division II Seton Hill

WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson College women's tennis team (7-8) was bested by Division II Seton Hill (4-9) in their final match of the 2024-25 season, 6-1.
 
The Griffins picked up the first team point of the afternoon through partnered play, 1-0. W&J picked up a 6-2 victory at No. 3 doubles, courtesy of the tandem of Pooja Potluri (West Fargo, N.D./West Fargo) and Paisley Cole (Smyrna, Del./Smyrna High School).
 
The Presidents picked up one victory in individual play, ultimately being outpaced 5-1. Cole snagged her second victory of the day at No. 5 singles in three sets. Cole traded the first two sets, 6-2, 6-7 (2-7), before winning the super-breaking set 10-7. Claire Loomis (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) also brought her No. 2 singles match to three sets, ultimately falling in the third set (1-6, 7-6 (7-3), 10-12).
