STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – The Washington & Jefferson College men's lacrosse team (6-12, 3-7) dropped the final contest of the 2026 season to the Franciscan Barons (9-8, 6-4), 22-7.
Braydon Reighard (Oakdale, Pa./South Fayette) and
William Fenimore (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) each finished the regular season final with two goals.
Jaxon Specht (Oakdale, Pa./Chartiers Valley),
Braden Petrarco (Irwin, Pa./Norwin) and
Riley Bullock (Kennett Square, Pa./Wilmington Christian (Del.)) finished the day with one goal each.
Ryan Mey (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) had a team high three assists.
Six Presidents finished the day with one caused turnover.
Jack Dufalla (Washington, Pa./Trinity) led the team in ground balls accompanied by
Logan Waychoff (Washington, Pa./Trinity) and Specht who had four.
W&J went down 7-0 before finding the back of the net in the first half. Fenimore scored with nine minutes remaining in the second quarter on an unassisted score. Franciscan added four goals to take a 11-1 lead into the half.
After surrendering the first goal of the second half, W&J scored the next three goals. Specht scored his first goal of his career at the 13:23 mark. Petrarco and Reighard each scored during the run, 12-4. Reighard and Fenimore added two more goals in the third to reduce the deficit to 13-6.
Despite a productive second half, Franciscan managed to hold on for the tournament clinching win. Bullock scored the final goal of the 2026 season for the Presidents at the 12:19 mark of the fourth quarter.
Stephen Moschetta (Washington, Pa./Trinity) played all 60 minutes in goal and had 15 saves. The junior finished the season with 220 saves for the Presidents with six wins.
Fenimore and Petrarco each led the Presidents in scoring on the year with 27 and 25 goals, respectively. Petrarco also led the team in ground balls (65) and caused turnovers (24) on the season. Mey led the team on the year in assists with 18.
