GREENWOOD, Ind. – Six members of the Washington & Jefferson College women's cross country and track & field programs were recognized with Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators. The organization announced the list of honorees on Tuesday (June 23).

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Track & Field / Cross Country Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom.

Earning the honors for the men's team were Claire Anderson (Jamestown, Pa./Jamestown), Chloe LoCastro (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township), Marina Grado (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway), Cali LaRue (Pittsburgh, Pa./Montour), Katie Kovalchick (Shelocta, Pa./Indiana Area) and Maria Gilles (North Ridgeville, Ohio/Lake Ridge Academy). Anderson, LoCastro, Gilles, and  Kovalchick are repeat All-District honorees. This is the first time that Grado and LaRue have obtained the honor from the organization for their efforts in cross country/track & field. Anderson advances to the CSC Academic All-America ballot.

The CSC Academic All- America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First, second and third-team Academic All- America® honorees will be announced July 14-15. The women's honorees will be released on Tuesday (July 14).

Eligible nominees were based off of TFRRS performance list rankings at the time of nomination. If a student-athlete has participated in a relay event which is ranked in the Top 50, that can bolster a nomination but the basic criteria to be met is for individual performances.

In addition, student-athletes must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA or higher and be a sophomore, junior or senior.
