STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson College women's golf team wrapped up competition at the Toftrees Invitational in fourth place as a team. The team totaled a 705 score after two rounds of play.

Top W&J Individual: Julia Barthelemy (Crescent, Pa./Moon Area) led the Presidents on the course this weekend with a total score of 160 through 36 holes to finish third. The senior shot a weekend low of 79 which slotted in at eight over par.
 
Notables: Antolena Damico (Irwin, Pa./Penn Trafford) finished next best for the Presidents, concluding the weekend with a score of 171. Damico posted her best day during Round two, finishing in a tie for 10^th place. Freshmen Tess Kanche (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) and Luciana Taylor (Visalia, Calif./Redwood) opened up their collegiate campaigns in the top four finishers for W&J. Kanche finished in a tie for 21^st with a weekend score of 186. Taylor had one birdie on the weekend on a par three, finishing in 28^th place with a weekend total of 193.
 
Tournament Highlights
Top Team: York College (Pa.) finished as the top team in the field, holding a 11 shot lead over the second place team. York shot a weekend total of 672 as a team to win the invitational.
 
Top Individual: Ellie Filer of Saint Francis moved up two spots following round two of the Toftrees Invitational to take first place. The Red Wolves' top golfer shot 15 over par throughout the weekend to edge Lillie Snow of Seton Hill by one shot.
 
Up Next: Women's Golf returns to action on the golf course on Sunday (Sept. 20) at the annual Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Invitational. The event with be a 36 hole invitational.
