Caitlin Hoover

Caitlin Hoover enters her second season as an intern assistant coach for the W&J field hockey team in 2019.

Assisted head coach Jomara Coghlan as the coaching staff was named Empire 8 Coaching Staff of the Year. W&J registered a school record 18 wins and claimed its first ever NCAA Tournament victory during the 2018 season.

Prior to joining the Presidents, Hoover acquired valuable experience as a coach for Warriors Field Hockey Club in Stroudsburg, Pa. With the Warriors, she gained knowledge on how to run practices, create practice plans and how to coach in in-game situations.

Before getting into coaching, Hoover spent three seasons as a part of the East Stroudsburg University field hockey program. She began her career as a volunteer student assistant for the 2015 Warrior team that won the institution's first ever NCAA Division II field hockey championship, defeating Merrimack College by a 1-0 final score in overtime. Hoover then went on to play for the team in both the 2016 and 2017 campaigns. ESU reached the NCAA tournament both of those years.

Hoover graduated from East Stroudsburg with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and minors in Sport & Exercise Psychology, Communication Studies, and Athletic Coaching in May of 2018.
