Frank Spence

Frank Spence returns for his 14th season with the Presidents in 2024 to work with the team’s quarterbacks. His son, Steve, also works on the coaching staff.

Prior to coming to W&J, Spence worked 21 years in a number of different coaching roles at Catholic Central High School in Steubenville, Ohio, including 16 years as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

During that time, the school made nine state playoff appearances, including a state championship in 1993 and a state runner-up finish in 2005. He also spent four years as head basketball and eight years as head baseball coach.

In 2018, he was inducted into the Ohio Valley Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame as an assistant coach.
