Jacob Pugh '25 enters his first season as the Intern Assistant Coach for the W&J football program in 2025-26.

No stranger to W&J, Pugh returns to the Presidents after recently graduating Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

Pugh put together a standout career over the last four years, helping to lead the Presidents to a share of the 2024 PAC Football title and a spot in the NCAA Division III Playoffs. Among all D-III players, Pugh ranked third in points responsible per game (24.7), fifth in passing yards (3,288), seventh in passing touchdowns (40), eighth in total offense (312.7) and 13th in passing efficiency (178.3) in 2024. Pugh accounted for 108 career touchdowns over his career. His 93 passing touchdowns rank fourth in program history. He concluded his career ranked fifth in program history with 7,668 career passing yards and put together a 27-6 record during his three seasons as a full-time starter.

Pugh was announced as one of 18 semifinalists for the 2024 Gagliardi Trophy, an award presented to the most outstanding football player in NCAA Division III. Pugh earned PAC Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2023 & 2024, finishing his career as a three-time All-PAC honoree, earning First Team honors the past two seasons. Academically, Pugh was named to the CSC Academic All-District team in 2022, 2023 and 2024. Pugh has made the PAC Fall Academic Honor Roll twice and was listed on the National Football Foundation's Hampshire Honor Society. Pugh additionally volunteered time with the W&J Football camps and youth camps.
