Ken Cranston is in his fourth season with the W&J football program. He will serve as a full-time assistant coach in 2024 after being promoted from his role as an Intern Assistant Coach the past two seasons. He will serve as Defensive Backs coach.Â
In his first season as the defensive backs coach, the Presidents secondary received three All-Presidents' Athletic Conference selections. The three included Zachai Simmons (Seocnd Team), Brandon Brown (Honorable Mention) and Angelo Volomino (Honorable Mention).Â
Cranston joins W&J after collegiate coaching stops at Doane University and Waynesburg University.Â
Cranston has served as the defensive backs coach at Doane since March 2022. He has played a role in leading the group in meetings, drills, film and install while also handling recruiting efforts in multiple states.Â
From August 2021 through March 2022, Cranston served as a defensive quality control coach at Waynesburg. He worked alongside the defensive coordinator in film breakdown and helped prepare weekly scouting reports.Â
Cranston earned a bachelor of science in athletic coaching education from West Virginia University in May 2021. He is currently pursuing a master of science in coaching and sport education from WVU.Â
