Phillip Bobich '19 has served as a member of the coaching staff since 2019. In January of 2024, Bobich was elevated to the position of Defensive Coordinator.

Bobich helped guide the Presidents defensive units to the program's 27th Presidents' Athletic Conference championship, the first since 2018. Under Bobich's tutelage, Dawson Dietz was named PAC Defensive Player of the year following his senior campaign. Dietz also accumulated multiple All-America honors. Bobich's defense held opponents to 16.27 points, 249.4 total yards and forced 1.64 turnovers per game in 2024.

After serving as a coaching intern for the 2019 season, Bobich was promoted to a full-time position as Special Teams Coordinator/Linebackers Coach in October 2020.

Following the 2022 season, Bobich had a pair of special teamers earn All-PAC. Additionally, three Presidents specialists earned PAC Special Teams Player of the Week honors.

Bobich's special teams unit produced a strong season in 2021. The unit received six of the 11 PAC Special Teams Player of the Week awards. Placekicker Sean Disbrow was honored twice while punter Jacob Sarver earned the honor once. Return specialist Justin Huss secured the honor three times. Huss was honored as an All-PAC First Team player and also earned All-Region honors from D3football.com.

He is no stranger to W&J football, as he was a standout performer for the Red and Black at left tackle from 2015-18. Bobich was an All-PAC honoree during both his junior and senior seasons. The Aliquippa, Pa. product was named All-ECAC First Team following his senior season in 2018.

Bobich also got the job done in the classroom, as he was named a member of the 2019 National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society. The award recognizes college football players from all divisions of play who maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college careers.

A 2019 W&J graduate, he earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration.
