Ryan Wilson joined the W&J football staff in October 2020 as its Intern Assistant Coach. He will work with the defensive backs.
Wilson comes to W&J after a six-month stint with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, N.Y. While with the Engineers, Wilson ran spring installs over Zoom meetings with the cornerbacks. He aided in recruitment efforts in South New Jersey, Central Pennsylvania, Texas, Ohio and South Carolina.
Prior to his work with RPI, Wilson spent a year (Feb. 2019-March 2020) with Princeton University, as a offensive quality control coach.
Wilson enjoyed a successful playing career at Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham, which competes in the Middle Atlantic Conference in NCAA Division III. During his senior season of 2018, he served as a team captain and earned All-MAC honors as a defensive back. Wilson ranked in a tie for the most (5) interceptions among MAC players in 2018. He was a two-time Don Adams Coaches Award recipient (2017 and 2018).
He received a bachelor of arts degree in sports administration in May 2019. He then earned a master of arts in Sports Administration in July 2020.
