Todd Young is in his 20th season on the W&J sidelines in 2019 as the offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator.

Young has played an important role in the development of five All-America linemen (Chris Hickey, Chris Teter, Dave Bucar, Matt Houy and John Wanner) since 2005. In his 19 seasons, the Presidents have had 50 All-PAC offensive linemen, including multiple honorees in 18 of those years.

Phillip Bobich, Andrew Reo and Keaton Turney received All-PAC honors at the conclusion of the 2018 season.

In 2014, four W&J linemen earned All-PAC honors, led by Wanner and Zack Crossey on the First Team, Brandon Martuccio on the Second Team and Joe Graziani Honorable Mention. Martuccio was an All-Region honoree following his senior season in 2016. Andrew Reo was a First Team All-PAC and Second Team All-Region performer in 2017.

Entering the 2015 season, Crossey was heralded as a unanimous Preseason First Team All-America, claiming laurels from The Sporting News, Lindy’s and D3football.com.

Since his arrival on campus, the Presidents have posted a 177-39 overall record (.819) and have claimed 11 PAC Championships. W&J has also made 14 appearances in the NCAA Division III playoffs.

Before arriving at W&J, Young worked at his alma mater, Hiram College, where he doubled as the offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator.  A 1996 graduate, he earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.  As a player for the Terriers, Young was a three-year starter and a two-year captain on the offensive line. He also became the first player in school history to compete in a postseason national all-star game in the 1995 National All-Star Classic.

In addition to football, Young also was the head softball coach for Hiram in 2000. He helped lead the Terriers to a fourth-place conference finish, which was the team’s best finish in over a decade.

A member of the American Football Coaches Association, Young also spent two seasons as the W&J head men’s lacrosse coach as the program’s first coach.
