Tom Jurkovec joined the W&J football staff as an Intern Assistant Coach for the 2021 season.
He was a three-year letter winner and two-year starter at Division I FCS member Duquesne University. The Dukes won the Northeast Conference in both 2016 and 2018. Duquesne advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals in the 2018 Playoffs. He was a three-time member of the NEC Academic Honor Roll. He tallied 61 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and an interception during his time as a player with the Dukes.
Jurkovec served as a defensive assistant for his alma mater Duquesne during the Spring 2021 season. He coached linebackers Jahan Worth and Todd Hill to all-conference honors.
During his high school playing days, he was a three-year letterwinner at Pine-Richland High School. The Rams won the WPIAL and advanced to the AAAA State Finals in 2014.
Jurkovec earned his bachelors degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance from Duquesne in May of 2020.
