Adam Spinella

Adam Spinella enters his second season as the Intern Assistant Coach for the Washington & Jefferson men's basketball team for the 2018-19 season.

Spinella served as a Boys Basketball Coach at Culver Academies, a college prep boarding school located in Culver, Ind., before arriving at W&J. His experience as a coach at Culver Academies spanned three years as the lead varsity assistant and junior varsity head coach. Spinella helped lead the 2016-17 team to a 21-3 overall record, the program's second Sectional Championship and the No. 1 ranking in the state of Indiana for the first time in school history.

A 2014 graduate from Dickinson College, Spinella spent three years as the men's basketball student assistant under head coach Alan Seretti and then assistant, now W&J head coach, Ethan Stewart-Smith. Spinella was active in coaches meetings, video scouting and individual player development during his three years at Dickinson and was tasked with putting together the pre-season workout program prior to the 2013-14 season.

In addition, Spinella was able to expand his coaching experience through various prospect and instructional camps including Dickinson's Red Devils Camps, prospect camps at Case Western Reserve University and Marietta College, Paul Hogan's Shooter's Gold Basketball Camps in New Hampshire and both Hoop Group Skills and Elite camps.

Spinella owns a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Political Science from Dickinson and served as a teaching intern at Breakthrough Collaborative and the St. Paul's Advanced Studies Program in New Hampshire during the summers of 2012 and 2013, respectively. He is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown University.
