Jacob Bow, a 2017 W&J graduate, was named head coach for the men's lacrosse program in July 2024. Bow enters his second season with W&J in 2025-26.
Following his first season with the Presidents, Bow accumulated three All-Presidents' Athletic Conference selections. The three included Paul Shook, Braden Petrarco and Austin Hopkins.
"Jacob impressed the search committee with his passion for the sport of lacrosse and his desire to elevate our men's lacrosse program," said director of athletics Scott McGuinness. "We believe he is uniquely positioned to build a roster that will be competitive within the Presidents' Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III. We anticipate that the entire W&J lacrosse family will rally around Jacob and help our program reach the expectations we all have for a welcoming, competitive, and successful environment for the W&J men's lacrosse student-athletes."
No stranger to W&J men's lacrosse, Bow enjoyed a successful playing career for the Red and Black. Bow appeared in 65 games during his four-year career which spanned from 2014-17. A native of Lockport, N.Y., Bow served as a captain his senior season. The Presidents reached the Ohio River Lacrosse Conference Championship game during his junior season in 2016. Bow was also a three-year member of the W&J football team during his time on campus.
"W&J helped mold me into the man I am today," Bow said. "I am honored that I get the opportunity to come back home and apply what I've learned to take this program to the next level."
Bow has served as head coach of nearby Peters Township High School the past two seasons. He has helped the Indians accumulate a 30-10 overall record and earned Coach of the Year honors during his time with the team.
Prior to joining Peters Township, Bow had a four-year coaching stint as head coach of Hempfield Area High School. During his tenure at Hempfield, he helped the Spartans win their first playoff game in program history.
He earned his degree in Business Administration from W&J in May of 2017. He also minored in Communication Arts.
