Jimmy McCann

Jimmy McCann joined W&J as its Intern Assistant Coach for Men's Lacrosse in August 2021.

No stranger to working alongside W&J head coach Cody Golon, McCann spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach with Golon at La Roche University. He served as an assistant coach and worked with the defense and goalkeepers during his time with the Redhawks.

Additionally, McCann brings years of coaching experience at the club and high school levels in the greater Baltimore area. He served as an Assistant Coach at Westminster High School. While there, he worked with goalkeepers and defense to help lead the Owls to back-to-back Maryland State Championships in 2018 and 2019.

As a player, McCann was a goalie at Mercyhurst University from 2002-2005 where he was a member of two NCAA Division II Semifinalist teams. While at Mercyhurst, McCann earned both his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Special Education before spending over a decade as an educator and coach in the state of Maryland.
