Cory (Berliner) Huminsky joined the softball staff as its pitching coach for the 2020 season. 
 
Huminsky, a native of Fort Collins, Colo., played at the University of Pittsburgh from 2008-2011, where she closed out her career leaving multiple marks on the program record book. 
 
Huminsky currently ranks first all-time in earned run average (2.03), second in complete games (62), third in both innings (632.2) and wins (49), fourth in strikeouts (414) and is tied for fourth in shutouts (13) in Pitt history. 
 
She earned All-Big East honors following her junior season and was a multiple-time recipient of the Big East Pitcher of the Week award. She tossed a no-hitter in a 9-0 victory over Seton Hall on March 26, 2011.  
 
During her time in Oakland, she served as a team captain for two seasons and served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. 
 
Huminsky previously served as the pitching coach for nearby Peters Township High School from 2016 through 2019 and has worked with C-Side Sports Academy in Washington, providing one-on-one pitching instruction.
 
She received her bachelor of science degree from the University of Pittsburgh in May 2011. She went on to earn a Master of Public Health from Ohio State University in the Spring of 2013.
