Hannah Dietz has served on the W&J softball coaching staff for four seasons. She joined the program in August of 2022. Dietz was elevated to full-time assistant coach for the 2024-25 academic year.
Dietz aided in the development of two-time All-PAC First Team shortstop Hannah Allen in 2025 and 2026. Allen finished among the top 10 in program history in hits, doubles, triples, RBI and batting average. A total of 12 players have earned All-PAC honors during Dietz's time with the program.Â
In her first season with the softball program in 2023, Dietz stepped in as the fill-in head coach for a brief period. During that time, Dietz led the W&J Softball program to their best start in program history through the first five games (5-0).
Dietz, who competed for five years at Grove City, is no stranger to Presidents' Athletic Conference softball.
She earned All-PAC honors in each of her last two collegiate seasons with the Wolverines. Dietz led Grove City with eight home runs, 30 RBI and 57 total bases in 2022. Her eight home runs in 2022 ranked second among PAC players.Â
She is the Grove City program record holder in home runs (21) and RBI (100). Dietz helped the Wolverines qualify for the PAC Tournament in both 2021 and 2022.Â
In the summer of 2021, she attended the NCAA Career in Sports Forum, where she increased her awareness of collegiate opportunities in athletics. Additionally, she completed an internship with Grove City’s athletic department where she assisted in planning the end-of-the year all-sports banquet, assisted in hosting the PAC track tournament and assisted in working lacrosse games in an administrative capacity.
A native of Allison Park, Pa., Dietz earned her undergraduate degree in Management with a concentration in Sports Management from Grove City. Her younger brother,
Dawson Dietz '25, is one of the best defensive players to wear a Presidents uniform for the football program.
