Matt Loftis has served on Coach DeRubbo's staff for two seasons. The Presidents have claimed PAC titles in both campaigns.
The Presidents earned a repeat in the PAC and secured a return trip to the NCAA Tournament in 2025-26 with three players earning All-PAC honors.
In his first season, Loftis aided in a historic season for the W&J Women's Basketball program in 2024-25. W&J won its seventh Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship and earned the PAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Presidents secured its first-ever NCAA Tournament win when they beat Messiah in overtime in an NCAA First Round game. The 24 wins tied for the most in a single-season in program history.
Prior to coming to W&J, Loftis had coaching experience at the high school level, serving as head coach for the South Park girls basketball team and as a head coach for the Elizabeth Forward boys basketball program.
Coach Loftis is a 2015 graduate of Saint Vincent College. He works as a teacher in the South Park school district.
