Payj O'Shea

Payj O'Shea is in her third season at Washington & Jefferson as the women's soccer intern assistant coach after starting at W&J in March, 2015.

O'Shea was a four-year goalkeeper at NCAA Division I Oakland University in Rochester, Mich., appearing in 41 matches with 31 starts. 

As a freshman, she was named to The Summit League's All-Newcomer Team after leading the league with a 0.43 goals-against average. Her .800 save percentage was the second highest in the league and she allowed just three goals in 630:35 of playing time while posting a 4-0-1 record.

During her sophomore and junior campaigns, she earned Summit League Defensive Player of the Week honors and made 41 combined saves with two shutouts. She played in 18 games as a senior, making 15 starts, ending the year with 78 saves and six shutouts.

O'Shea earned four varsity letters at Walled Lake Northern High School, where she was a two-time all-state goalkeeper, as well as helping her club team win the Michigan Regional League Championship in 2009 and 2010.

A 2014 graduate of Oakland, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Development with a minor in Employment Systems and Standards.

Her father, Brian, played professional soccer with the Detroit Rockers and her sister, Jacqi, played collegiately at Troy (Ala.).Â
