Chris Faulk (W&J '10; Eighth year with the men, seventh year with the women) has been the men's and women's tennis coach at his alma mater since 2012. His first season with the men was the Spring 2012, while he started with the women in the Fall of 2012.

A three-time Presidents' Athletic Conference men's coach of the year, Faulk is the only person in league history to win PAC Player (2010) and Coach (2014, 2015, 2019) of the Year honors.

Faulk helped guide the W&J women to their first-ever PAC title with a 5-3 victory over top-seeded Grove City in late October 2019. For a second straight year, sophomore Maya Krishnasamy was honored as Presidents' Athletic Conference Player of the Year. Meanwhile, freshman Isabella Goldman secured the PAC Newcomer of the Year award. In addition to the individual awards, all six members of the Presidents' PAC Championship starting lineup were recognized with All-PAC honors. The Presidents were slated to make their first appearance in the NCAA Division III Championships during the spring of 2020 but it was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

During the 2019 spring season, the W&J men secured their first PAC Championship since 1969. Under Faulk's tutelage, the Presidents secured their first ever appearance in the NCAA Championship Tournament. For the team's accomplishments, Faulk was named Coach of the Year while sophomore Nate Wang was tabbed Player of the Year by the PAC. W&J finished the season with a 15-4 record and a perfect 10-0 mark against PAC opponents. The 15 wins represents the most in a single-season in program history. In addition to the major award winners, five Presidents gained All-PAC recognition following the season.

The W&J women finished the fall season with an 11-7 overall record, which included a third place postseason finish in the PAC. Freshman Maya Krishnasamy was named PAC Player of the Year while four student-athletes gained All-PAC recognition.

In the 2018 season with the men, Faulk led the Presidents to a 14-4 overall record, setting the program record for wins in a single season, while also going 8-0 in the PAC. The team placed third overall at the PAC Championships with junior Max Perilstein claiming the fourth singles title. W&J advanced to the ECAC Division III Championships, the first postseason appearance in program history, before falling to Stevenson in the semifinals.

In the fall of 2015, Faulk coached the Presidents to a third place finish in the PAC Championships after a 10-3 campaign. Rachel Johnson took first place in the third singles flight, becoming the first women’s player to win a singles flight at the PAC Championships since 1993. In the spring, the men’s team followed that up with a fourth place finish in the conference championship, where Micah Byrum took first place in the second singles flight. In addition, Greg Smith and Chad Dille paired to win the doubles championship.

In the Fall of 2014, the W&J women's team posted a 12-3 record after starting the season 10-0 for the first time in program history. The men's team followed that up at the PAC championships with a second-place showing led by Sean Carrick and Joshua St. Clair earning a second doubles championship, the first doubles title for the Presidents since Faulk and Jeff Tomaino won No. 1 flight in 2008.

During the 2013-14 academic year, the W&J tennis programs posted a strong campaign as the women won eight matches, their best total in nearly a decade and earned the Presidents' Athletic Conference Sportsmanship Award. The men's team posted its' best finish at the conference meet since 2010 with a third-place finish.

Faulk, who served as an assistant coach for both teams in 2011, is a 2010 W&J graduate and a four-year letter winner for the men’s tennis team.

As a senior, Faulk became just the third W&J student-athlete since 1989 to win the Presidents' Athletic Conference No. 1 singles title.  His conference championship helped W&J earn third place in the team standings.

A four-year No. 1 singles starter, Faulk finished his career with a 25-12 record. He earned runner-up laurels at the conference championships in 2008 and 2009 and placed third as a freshman.

Faulk, a Washington, Pa., native, also teamed with Jeff Tomaino to win the No. 1 doubles conference championship in 2008. He earned Second Team All-PAC status in each of his other three years competing in the PAC No. 1 doubles flight. Faulk claimed a 30-8 career doubles record.

He holds certifications from the United State Professional Tennis Registry and is a certified strength & conditioning coach by the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA).
