Megan Foster

Megan Foster was announced as head coach of the men's and women's tennis programs at W&J on July 17, 2020.

In November of 2022, Foster was honored with a national Community Service Award by the United Stats Tennis Association (USTA) and the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR).

During the 2021-22 academic year, the W&J women's tennis program reached the championship match for a third-straight season. W&J finished as runner-up as they fell in the title match to Franciscan. The W&J women finished 7-4 overall and 6-1 in PAC play. A trio of Presidents earned All-PAC First Team honors following the season. At the conclusion of the men's season, freshman Abhinav Yarrameneni secured All-PAC accolades.

The women's team finished as the 2020-21 PAC Tournament runner-up in Foster's first season at the helm. Six Presidents earned All-PAC honors led by junior Maya Krishnasamy, who received First Team recognition at No. 1 singles. On the men's side, seniors Nate Wang and Sam Bellini received All-PAC First Team status in singles and All-PAC Second Team honors in doubles.

Foster brings a wealth of experience to the position, as she has extensive experience with USTA committees and councils within the region since 2014. She has served as USTA Council Chair and USTA Council Vice President with the organizations. Her duties included establishing annual goals and objectives for the district and monitoring progress towards those goals.

Additionally, she was responsible for appointing council members and chairs to local USTA committees and councils in the Allegheny district. Her responsibilities included managing budgets, developing programming throughout the district, including diversity and inclusion programs, tournaments and social events. She was responsible for marketing the program by developing content for both the web and social media platforms.

Beyond her work with the USTA, Foster has served as a tennis teaching professional for the past three decades, which includes significant coaching experience at the high school level. Most recently she served as the head tennis coach at nearby Mt. Lebanon High School, where she was a 1990 graduate.

Her certifications include PTR (Professional Tennis Registry), USTA National Early Development Coach, Cardio Tennis Professional and ROGY Expert (12&Under).
