Korin Wengryn returns for her third season as the intern assistant volleyball coach at Washington & Jefferson for the 2016 season.
A four-year middle hitter for NCAA Division II West Virginia Wesleyan, she averaged more than 150 kills and 55 blocks per season during her playing career. In her freshman campaign of 2010, she set career highs with 26 matches and 86 games played and 63 blocks. Her top kill total came in her junior season when she amassed 195 kills in 23 matches.
Wengryn also served as a two-year captain for the Bobcats and was the Vice President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Her previous coaching experience comes from serving as an assistant with the Pittsburgh Three Rivers volleyball club and at camps at local high schools Canon-McMillan and West Allegheny, her alma mater. Additionally, she completed an internship with Greater Pittsburgh Physical Therapy where she worked with individuals on proper technique and use of equipment during the rehabilitation process.
Wengryn is a May 2014 graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan with a degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Chemistry, Biology and Physics. She won a 2006 PIAA state championship at West Allegheny and on conference championships in 2009 and 2010.
