Jack Sacco '26 enters his fourth year aiding W&J Athletics, entering a revised role as the Media & Data Analytics Intern in 2026-27.
Sacco is an integral piece in the day-to-day coverage of W&J's 28 athletics programs in the sports information office. He serves as the head of broadcasting for the W&J Sports Network. Sacco also aids in the maintenance and upkeep of W&J Athletics' schedules and record books.
In the 2025-26 academic year, Sacco became W&J's first student to be named a national award winner for the Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest. Sacco's story titled 'Kellan Stahl: Seizing the Moment' was selected as the top student-written story in the College Division which consists of NCAA Divisions II and III, the NAIA, two-year institutions, Canadian institutions, and any other unaffiliated organizations. He had won the District 2 Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest award for two consecutive years prior to his national recognition. Sacco's work on the Great Lakes Invitiational was also awarded the best game notes created by a student-worker during the 2025-26 CSC Creative & Digital Design Contest.Â
In the 2024-25 academic year, Sacco was named the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators District 2 Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest Student Submission College Division award winner for his game notes prior to the Presidents' NCAA Playoffs game against Randolph-Macon College. The District 2 College Division encapsulates six states including Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia and District of Columbia from NCAA Division II, III, the NAIA, two-year organizations, Canadian organizations and any other organization unaffiliated with these aforementioned divisions.
Sacco maintains the production of football game notes, detailing the ebbs and flows of the storied season for W&J. He also was responsible for the implementation of the first game-by-game notes in school history for the W&J baseball team during their 2025 campaign.
The recent graduate also was a catalyst in the implementation of the first multi-camera setup for W&J's home broadcasts. The improved camera setup debuted during the 2025 baseball season under the direction of Sacco and the sports information office. The setup featured a home plate and center field camera to grant viewers a dual view of W&J's baseball program. The modernized setup was also picked up by the PAC Sports Network in their production for the PAC Tournament hosted at W&J's Ross Memorial Park.
