Laura Charashvili joins the Washington & Jefferson College women’s wrestling staff prior to its inaugural season in 2026-27.
Charashvili comes to W&J after spending the 2024-25 season as an assistant coach on the Trinity High School Girls Wrestling staff. She helped Trinity Girls Wrestling form their first PIAA state wrestling qualifiers and first PIAA state wrestling place winner.
No stranger to the mats, Charashvili most notably was the 2013 Cadet World Silver Medalist in Freestyle Wrestling. She was also a Junior Women’s Freestyle Wrestling World Team Member and a four-time Belarusian Women’s Freestyle Wrestling National Champion from 2013-2016.
Charashvili graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Belarusian State University in 2017. From there, she worked to her master’s degree in hospitality management from CETT Barcelona School of Tourism (2019) and a master’s in food and beverage management from Euroinnova Business School (2022). Charashvili is an ISSA Certified Personal Trainor and Pilates Instructor. She is additionally fluent in four languages including Russian, Belarusian, English and Spanish.
