ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Junior goalie Chris DeNunzio stopped 10 shots to help seventh-seeded Washington & Jefferson defeat 10th-seeded Monmouth (Ill.) Friday night at the 2013 Southern Division Men's Water Polo Championships hosted by the Naval Academy. 

The Presidents evened their record at 14-14 overall after receiving three-goal games from juniors Mike Magdic and Carl Krause. Freshmen Patrick Fredrick and Emmet Pierson both added two goals, while classmate Nick Willison added one.  W&J plays second-seeded Bucknell Saturday at 10:20 am.

The winner of that match plays again Saturday at 9:00 pm, while the loser plays at 3:40 pm.
