PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Washington & Jefferson men's water polo team dropped a pair of games to Division I opponents at Princeton.
The Presidents drop to 12-12 on the season after suffering a 14-5 loss to Iona and 12-11 overtime defeat against Fordham.
Five different W&J players scored against Iona:
Mitch Fountain,
Patrick Fredrick,
Carl Krause,
Conor Crowe and
Ben McGrath.
Chris DeNunzio made nine saves in the defeat.
Mike Magdic led the charge against Fordham with four goals, while
Nick Willison, Crowe and McGrath each scored twice. DeNunzio had a strong showing with 17 saves in goal.
W&J is scheduled to head back to Princeton on Nov. 8-9 for the CWPA Southern Division Championships.
