NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Presidents began the 2014 Presidents' Athletic Conference slate with a 2-0 loss at Westminster.
The loss drops the Washington & Jefferson women's soccer team to 4-5-1 overall and 0-1 in the conference. The Titans improve to 8-2-1 and 1-0 in the league.
Both Titans goals came in the first half was Krysten Opsatnik scored on a breakaway in the 29th minute and Melissa Thomas connected off a deflection in the 40th minute.
W&J led on shots, 12-7, with
Hayley Skovira posting a game-high four shots and
Josie Madden posting three shots.
Morgan Kinyon made four saves in goal in 90 minutes.
W&J is back in PAC action at Saint Vincent on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 4 p.m.
