Box Score GAMBIER, Ohio -- The Presidents dropped their third-straight game with a 5-1 loss at Kenyon in non-conference action.
The loss drops the Washington & Jefferson field hockey team to 7-5 on the season while Kenyon improves to 11-2 this year.
The hosts opened the scoring late in the 15th minute with a goal by Weezie Foster. W&J's
Gina Taglieri knotted the game, 1-1, just over 15 minutes later on a shot where she collected the rebound and shot it back in to score. The tie was short lived, however, as Foster scored 2:04 later to put Kenyon back ahead heading to halftime.
Three goals were scored in the second half, all by the Ladies, and the Presidents dropped the non-league game.
Morgan Brozena suffered the loss, allowing both goals in the first half before yielding way to
Karlie Baran in the second half, but Brozena returned late after Baran surrendered three scores in 29:50.
W&J travels to New York this weekend for a pair of Empire 8 games, the first of which is Saturday, Oct. 11 at Hartwick.
