PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Washington & Jefferson men's water polo team was upended by Division I George Washington, 15-6, in the fifth-place game at the 2014 CWPA Southern Division Championship hosted by Princeton.
The Presidents move to 14-14 on the season after finishing in sixth place at the tournament. W&J will now wait to see if they will receive an at-large bid to the CWPA Eastern Championships for the first time in school history. The event is scheduled for Nov. 21-23 at the United State Naval Academy.
Carl Krause led the team with three goals against the Colonials.
Patrick Fredrick recorded a pair of scores and
Josh Emde also found the back of the net.
Chris DeNunzio made 11 saves in the loss.
