WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson men's water polo team earned a pair of victories against Monmouth (Ill.) and Salem International (W.Va.) at Henry Memorial Natatorium.
The wins propel the Presidents over the .500 mark with a 5-4 record. W&J downed Monmouth 20-16 before posting a 22-17 win over Salem.
Mike Magdic scored seven goals against Monmouth, while
Nick Willison and
Kevin Dunigan had four.
Carl Krause finished with three goals.Â
In the game against Salem, Willison and
Patrick Fredrick each tallied four goals with Magdic and Dunigan each posting three goals. A total of 11 Presidents scored in the contest.
W&J is back in action in a week, Saturday, Sept. 27, hosting a Mercyhurst and Gannon at 12 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively.
