Jill Bartman scored her first collegiate goal in the 17th minute and
Morgan Kinyon made seven saves in goal as Washington & Jefferson earned a 1-0 women's soccer victory over Penn State-Behrend Saturday afternoon.Â
The Presidents (2-4) snapped Penn State-Behrend's (6-2) four-match win streak.Â
Mariah Lockard assisted on Bartman's goal which came on a shot from top of the box into the left corner. Kinyon made four of her seven stops in the opening 45 minutes.Â
The Lions had six shots in the final 13 minutes, but Kinyon stopped the only one that reached goal to help W&J earn its third win in history against Penn State-Behrend in 10 all-time meetings. The Lions held the advantage in both shots (20-9) and corner kicks (7-3).Â
