Three in double figures not enough for W&J in 71-59 loss


GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Despite three players in double figures, the Washington & Jefferson men's basketball team lost at Thiel, 71-59, in Presidents' Athletic Conference play.

Mike Resnik topped 20 points for the ninth time this season, finishing with a game-high 21. He moves just 21 points from 1,000 in his career as he sits at 979. The senior also pulled in eight rebounds.

Brian Lindquist went 5-of-6 from the floor to finish second on the team with 13 points. He joined Resnik with eight boards. Doug Johnson knocked down three triples en route to 11 points.

Mitch Locher was the only player in the game with double figures in rebounds, hauling in 11 to go with six points and four assists.

The Presidents are idle this weekend before hosting Geneva on Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 8 p.m.
