WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Washington & Jefferson used a balanced attack with 14 different players scoring to cruise to an 82-51 win over Chatham.
With the win, the Presidents improve to 15-4 overall and 9-3 in league games. The Cougars slip to 5-14 and 2-10 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference.
Taylor Cortazzo scored a game-high 19 points on 7-of-10 from the field and five-of-seven from beyond-the-arc. The sophomore currently ranks third in the PAC, connecting on 56.5 percent (83-of-147) of her field-goal attempts. She is making an identical 56.5 percent (35-of-62) of her three-point attempts on the season.
Valerie Dunlap recorded her seventh double-double of the season and fifth-straight game with double-digit rebounds as she finished with 12 points and 10 boards, while adding three blocks in just 17 minutes.
Beka Bellhy went for nine points and nine rebounds in the win.
Danni Medovich added seven points while tying
Alexa DelGreco for the game high with five assists.
Amirah Moore and
Mia Woytovich scored seven and six points, respectively, as the Presidents' reserves out-scored Chatham, 33-13.
After making 18-of-32 (56.3 percent) shots in the second half, W&J finished at 51.5 percent (34-of-66) for the game, the best shooting percentage of the season for the Presidents.
W&J hosts Geneva at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4.
