BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson men's basketball team fell short at Geneva, dropping a 78-70 decision in Presidents' Athletic Conference action.
Mike Resnik led W&J in scoring for the 10th time in 13 games this season with 21 points, his sixth 20-plus point effort of the campaign. The senior also added six rebounds and three assists while making six-of-seven free throws.
Mitch Locher recorded season highs of 14 points and six rebounds.
Tyler Haas was also in double figures with 11 points and a team-best four assists.
The Presidents held a 33-31 lead through 20 minutes, thanks to a 5-0 run to end the period, including a three-pointer by
Tanner Huffman with 1:05 to play.
W&J's last lead came on a three-pointer by
Jake Swan that gave the Presidents a 42-41 advantage.
Thomas More travels to the Henry Memorial Center on Saturday, Jan. 7 to take on W&J at 1 p.m.
