W&J dealt 3-0 PAC loss by Thomas More

WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Washington & Jefferson dropped to an even 5-5 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference with a 3-0 loss against league-leader Thomas More.

With the loss, the Presidents fall to 9-8 overall, while the Saints improve to 9-3 on the year and an unblemished 8-0 in conference meetings.

A slow start led to a 25-15 defeat in the first set, before W&J led a large part of a 25-21 second-set loss and battled evenly in a 25-20 third-set dropping.

Sarah Dindak was the lone President to record double-digit kills with 10. Nicole Bishwaty added seven to go along with 15 assists, 12 digs and three blocks.

Emily Toy contributed 14 helpers and Abigail Eich totaled two of W&J's five service aces offensively.

Allison Means notched 18 digs and Eich posted four blocks, while Madison Lydic chipped in a pair.

W&J has a quick turnaround, hosting La Roche on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. in nonconference action. The Redhawks won an earlier match-up this season, 3-1, in Pittsburgh.
