WASHINGTON, Pa. – Washington & Jefferson posted a 3-1 (25-16, 28-26, 25-22, 25-19) win over La Roche in a nonconference matchup at Henry Memorial Gymnasium.
The 3-1 win avenges W&J volleyball for its 3-1 loss to La Roche when the two teams met earlier in the season. The Presidents now sit at 10-8 on the season, while the Redhawks move to 9-11.
Madison Lydic paced the attack, tallying double-digits in kills for the third time by posting a career-high of 14 kills, while breaking her previous record of 13 against Franciscan.
Also contributing to offense was Abigail Eich with nine kills, and Nicole Bishwaty, Sarah Dindak and Taylor Freeman each with six. Dishing out assists were Bishwaty with 26 and Emily Toy with 14.
Allison Means had a match-high of 23 digs. Toy and Katheryn Rotthoff were next with 11 and 10 each, respectively. Eich recorded a career-high of 10 blocks.Â
W&J will return to the PAC to host Waynesburg on Oct. 13 at 7:00 pm.Â
