WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Four Presidents scored in double figures, but it wasn't enough as the Presidents dropped an 89-83 decision to Penn State DuBois at the Henry Memorial Center.
With the loss, the Washington & Jefferson men's basketball team drops to 0-3 to open the year, while the Lions improve to 4-1.
Brian Graytok led W&J with 19 points on 9-of-14 from the floor. He also added five rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Christian Rohaus came off the bench to contribute 18 points, including 4-of-5 from beyond-the-arc. Freshmen
Gianni Buarne and
Joe Satira each scored 15 points, the highest totals of their young careers, to go with five boards apiece. Buarne recorded a game-best four steals on the night.
W&J finished 34-of-68 (50.0 percent) from the field and both teams were knotted at 33 rebounds.Â
Gustin Luis Conde led all players with 27 points and six assists for Penn State DuBois, while teammate Sam Roselli recorded a double-double of 26 points and 10 boards.
The Presidents continue their four-game homestand to open the season on Tuesday, Nov. 24 when they welcome Juniata to town for a 6 p.m. nonconference tipoff.
