NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Washington & Jefferson men's basketball team fell 84-52 to Muskingum at Performance Court, moving its overall record to 0-5 in the regular season.
Muskingum sunk three free throws at 12:27 in the first half, giving them 14-10 lead that they continued to build on, ending the half at 43-18.
The second half saw the Fighting Muskies open scoring once again with a layup, although it was quickly answered with three points scored by
Brian Lindquist in a layup and a free throw. The two teams rallied for the majority of the second half, but W&J was unable to recover the margin. With a final layup by
Kodie Hanley, the game came to an end at 84-52.
Gianni Buarne led the Presidents with 15 points and a .500 field goal percentage.
Christian Rohaus also contributed offensively with 10 points while
Joe Satira had nine of his own.
Hanley was on defense with four blocks and a team-high six rebounds, while Satira and
Brian Graytok had two steals a piece.
W&J will return home for its Presidents' Athletic Conference opener against Grove City on Dec. 2 at 8:00 pm.
