WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Presidents' offense took advantage of 14 hits, six walks and five errors in a 13-1 win over Grove City at Ross Memorial Park.
With the win, the Washington & Jefferson baseball team sweeps the season series against the Wolverines and improves to 19-10 overall and 11-7 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference. Grove City drops to 11-19 on the year and 7-13 in league games.
W&J used multiple runs in four innings to post the win: four in the first and fourth innings, three in the third and two in the sixth.
Three Presidents contributed three-hit performances, led by
Ryan Sciullo who finished 3-for-4 with four RBI and a run scored.
Nelson McKown ended the day 3-for-4 with three runs scored and
Nick Vento was also 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI.
Two from W&J notched two-hit games as
Anthony Paladino was 2-for-3 with two RBI and
Frank Fortunato ended the day 2-for-4 with two runs.
Nick Kolat earned the win on the mound, working the first 6.0 innings and giving up four hits and one earned run while striking out four to improve to 3-2.

Riley Groves worked the seventh, eighth and ninth innings, respectively.
W&J plays a three-game series this weekend against second-place Waynesburg, opening at the Yellow Jackets with a nine-inning contest at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 24.
