GREENVILLE, Pa. --
Caroline Kallos upped her career record with six goals, but Washington & Jefferson fell at Thiel by an 18-12 score.
The loss is the first in the Ohio River Women's Lacrosse Conference for the Presidents, who drop to 6-3 overall and 4-1 in the league. The Tomcats remain undefeated atop the league standings at 6-0 to go with an 8-5 overall mark.
Kallos scored five of her game-high six goals in the first half as W&J trailed 13-9 through 30 minutes.
The second half was more defensive oriented as just eight goals were scored.
Kallos added an assist, giving her a career-best seven points on the day.
Diana Harvey contributed her fifth-straight hat trick with three goals and two assists.
Alex Dikos recorded three helpers and a goal for four points and
Ashley Bulger found the back of the net twice and dished out an assist. Dikos paced W&J with five draw controls.
Through nine games, W&J has nearly re-written the single-season assists record at W&J as four players have double digits, led by Bulger's team-high and school-record 15. Kallos has already tied the previous record of 13 set by Brittany Oake in 2012. Harvey (12) and Dikos (11) are also among the leaders, with a President reaching double digits in assists just six times prior to this season.
Kelsey Roetenberg suffered the loss despite making 12 saves on the day.
The Presidents will head west for a pair of ORWLC contests at Thomas More (Friday, April 10 - 4 p.m.) and Hanover (Saturday, April 11 - 1 p.m.).
