WASHINGTON, Pa. – On the road, Washington & Jefferson men's soccer suffered a 2-0 loss against Frostburg State, bringing their record to 3-2-1.
The first half remained scoreless, but Frostburg State was first to get on the board with a goal by Carvel Akuffo at 55:48 and shortly after, at 61:04, another was scored by Serigne Gueye.
Although the Presidents led the game in shots 11-10, they were not able to find the back of the net.
Benny Wilt made four saves out of the six shots on goal and
Jason Menni contributed with two shots, both on goal.
W&J men's soccer will stay on the road for a game against Franciscan in Steubenville, Ohio on Sept. 23 at 5:00 pm.
