FROSTBURG, MD. -- In a game that went into double overtime, a penalty stroke goal sent the Presidents to a 2-1 loss at Frostburg State.
Despite W&J leading in strokes 19-10, Frostburg State struck first at 25:14 with a goal by Alexandra Darrow off of a penalty corner. Soon after, at 33:16,
Alana Boyd was able to tie it up for Washington & Jefferson.
The game then went into double overtime, with Frostburg State eventually securing the win following a penalty stroke goal at 96:12.
Morgan Brozena was in net for the Presidents once again, making four saves for the team.
The overtime lose moves the Presidents record to 4-4.
Field hockey will compete again on Sept. 26 at 12:00 pm in a conference matchup against Stevens in Hoboken, N.j.
