Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer double overtime yields 0-0 tie

WASHINGTON, PA. –  Although both teams came close, no one was able to get on the board in a fierce battle that extended into double overtime, with Washington & Jefferson men's soccer and Heidelberg ultimately conceding to a 0-0 tie.
 
The tie brings W&J to a record of 4-2-2 and to 220 scoreless minutes against the Ohio Athletic Conference so far this season.
 
Heidelberg led in shots with 13, making eight on goal. Although Washington & Jefferson was able to land four of its nine shots on goal, none were able to sneak into the net.
 
Jason Menni led the team on the attack with four shots, three of them on goal. Benny Wilt allowed nothing to get past him, defending with eight saves.
 
W&J men's soccer will remain at home as they take on Muskingum on Sept. 29 at 7:00 pm.
