PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson women's basketball team continued to roll through Presidents' Athletic Conference action with an 84-60 win at Chatham, paced by
Rachel Bellhy's career-high 22 points.
With the win, the Presidents improve to 16-3 on the season and 11-1 in league games. The Cougars fall to 8-11 and 4-8 within the conference.
Rachel Bellhy led all players with a game-best 22 points, including an impressive 10-of-11 from the field. The sophomore also pulled down six rebounds and blocked four shots in just 23 minutes of action.
Danielle Parker joined her in establishing a new benchmark for points in a game with 16 against Chatham. She also missed just one shot from the floor, finishing 7-of-8, while also tallying eight rebounds in 15 minutes.
Beka Bellhy posted 10 points, seven rebounds and three assists in just 21 minutes, and
Amirah Moore just missed a double-double as she registered nine points and nine rebounds.
For the game W&J shot 53.3 percent (32-of-60) from the floor, the highest percentage of the year for the Presidents, while holding Chatham to just 25.9 percent (15-of-58), the lowest margin against W&J this season.
The Presidents will remain on the road in league play for a 5:30 pm tip-off at Geneva on Wednesday, Feb. 3.
