WAYNESBURG, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson women's soccer team defeated Waynesburg, 4-0, on Tuesday night, Oct. 11 to improve to 9-3-2 overall and 3-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference.

Jordan Toohey (Mount Pleasant, Pa./Mount Pleasant/Saint Francis (Pa.)) got the Presidents on the board and broke a scoreless tie in the 66th minute on an assist from
Tatiana Ruzzini (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park), her 14th goal of the season. Just 65 seconds later, Ruzzini extended the lead with her 11th score of the year followed by a goal from
Ashton Grimm (Connellsville, Pa./Connellsville/Saint Francis (Pa.)) in the 73rd minute as the Presidents seized a 3-0 lead.

Ruzzini rounded out the scoring with another goal in the 88th minute thanks to an assist from
Megan Ochsenreiter (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler), marking Ruzzini's second multi-goal game of the season.

Allison Rinehimer (Berwick, Pa./Berwick Area) (7-3-2) earned the win in net for the Presidents, making one save while Courtney Syfert (3-6-1) took the loss in goal for the Yellow Jackets, making seven saves.

After recording just two shots on goal in the first half, the Presidents put nine on goal in the second half to finish with an 11-1 edge while also holding an 18-3 advantage in total shots for the game.

The Presidents return to the pitch on Saturday, Oct. 15, when they host Bethany in PAC action.
