WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson men's soccer team suffered a 2-1 defeat to Thiel on Tuesday, Oct. 18, to fall to 4-7-2 overall and 0-4-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference.
After falling behind 1-0 in the 23rd minute,
Jason Yobbi (South Park, Pa./South Park) equalized in the 39th minute on a penalty kick as the game went into halftime tied, 1-1.

In the 49th minute, the Tomcats took the final lead of the game when Josh Evjene tapped in the ball as it was rolling across the goal line following a shot from Hunter Young.

Jeremy Stone (Hope Mills, N.C./Fayetteville Academy) (2-3) took the loss in net for the Presidents, playing all 90 minutes. Christian Conrad (5-10-1) got the win in net for the Tomcats as he made 10 saves.

As a team, the Presidents outshot the Tomcats 26-6 and held an 11-2 advantage in shots on goal.

The Presidents return to the pitch on Sunday, Oct. 23, when they travel to Saint Vincent for a 3 p.m. PAC battle.
